Welcome to the Earth Shaman Meet-Up Page!
I maintain a support group (sponsored by MeetUp.com) called “The Earth Shaman Group”. I offer this group to those individuals in the Philadelphia area who would like to study the ways of the “shaman” in healing the land, protecting our environment, supporting and maintaining the earth’s natural systems and preserving our natural sacred sites. We meet monthly to discuss what’s happening to the Earth and ways to make a green difference in our daily lives, as well as to learn about healing the earth through the native shamanic traditions and through modern metaphysical techniques.
This has been a fascinating journey for all who have attended for the last two years. We have participated in group journeys, guided meditations, healing ceremonies and have had lively discussions about sacred sites, miraculous encounters with nature, earth healing, devas , the Perelandra Center for Co-Creation, Findhorne, new ideas for educating children about nature, learning techniques for honoring and healing the earth, and clearing and healing our own backyards. For more information about this group, please go to http://metaphysics.meetup.com/417/
On this page, members of The Earth Shaman Group- can post their thoughts, comments, musings and writings about Mother Earth, healing the environment and engaging in shamanic traditions and practices for the benefit of the earth and our earth based communities
One of the members of the Earth Shaman Group has sent me a posting today and I thought I would share it here.
Thank you Lady Raven for this poignant poem…..
As she cries…
A mother by nature as she is born of earth and cries the rain
you see
As she smiles her best smile and the sunrises appears
All these gifts she offers to us everyday and yet she cries and
what’s to gain?
Is there ever a time of where we don’t strip her of her cloths?
Must we take for granted all the things that we claim to be
ours and mine?
Could you ever take a moment in all you promised to heal her ?
Do you feel the blood she shed and the tears she weeps now?
So tell, me what have you done today to take away her pain?
Can you find peace in all that we have done?
In this time and in this place all we have to undo but not all can be erased
How much has to die before you take notice to her bloody soul?
All this pain is like spikes into my heart
What about life we live and all the living things
Who’s going to grow up and care about This song this earth, she cries
When will you show your true passion and believe in me?
I am the earth, I am your song in your step, I am where you are
today and where you will be tomorrow
I am the air that you breath and brings you to life
What about love, the words that you speak
Stand up and fight and heal the tears
